There is no doubt about the fact that Kumble is a great bowler, probably India will never produce another bowler of his calibre. But he is required more in Test Matches than ODI's. As far as Zaheer is concerned, he is also good but lacks consistency and with the amount of competition there is these days he'll have to work very hard to make a come back into the team. However, both these players will be missed in the Champions Trophy but that would not effect India's chances to win. INDIA'S CHANCES ARE AS GOOD AS EVER. As far as Ganguly is concerned, India is a better team without him (with due respect to his fans)

Inclusion of Ganguly, Kumble and Zaheer will not make a difference in the fortune of the team. While the recent form of Ganguly and Zaheer does not deserve a place for them in the playing 11, Kumble has been left out due to injury problem.
Even if all the 3 were in the team, winning the tournament cannot be guaranteed as there are tough opponents such as Australia, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and South Africa. India can dream to win the tournament if all the players play to their potential consistently.

With the exception of Ganguly the other two players that you've named are not 'built' for one dayers, they are sole test players.
I dont think that the absence of Kumble or Zaheer will make any difference... whatever the team is I think Aussies and India will be the finalist and India will give a tough time even without these 'lousy' players that you have just named.

Cricket is not a game to console to any one,if one works hard he will really came in the Indian team even no point for you also you can also come in it. You can see the performence of Gangully he is not doing well in junior cricket even he is making 1 or 2 or below 10 same performence for Zahir also(even I was the fan of Zahir when played well, I like him at that time also but at point of India wining is more important oterwise you will abuse them). And senior team wants that Kumble should be fit for test cricket.

India can win but I think the selectors should have taken Ganguly,Zaheer,Kumble and Sreesanth rather than Munaf,Powar,Mongia and RP Singh
