If you are breastfeeding exclusively and not using any bottles or pacifiers and you're nursing at least every 4 hours round the clock, then you may be protected from pregnancy. The hormones produced by exclusive breastfeeding can prevent pregnancy. If not, then you could possibly be pregnant.

An OTC pregnancy test could give you a false positive at this point, though. If you've recently given birth, your body will still be producing the pregnancy hormone that pregnancy tests look for. You could get a false positive up to nine weeks after you've given birth. I would talk to your doctor at your post partum checkup.

You are very very fertile after giving birth, so get the check up, my friend has 2 girls that are barely 1 year apart! As far as I know conception can happen almost immediately. But check with your doctor, and other more knowledgeable sources. Good luck and I wish you well.

You were doing it after 10 days of giving birth??? You must have been horny! It is possible, my cousin got pregnant a month after giving birth. she had 2 children in less than 11 months. I'd stick a sock on him!

It's my understanding that you can become pregnant immediately after you stop having your period after your baby is born. So if you don't want another baby in 9 months, you should use birth control.
