Well if it's just advantages you are interested in:
1. LCD are real flat displays, CRT (even those "FLAT CRT") have a curved display.
2. LCD consume mush less power (Electrical) since it does not use an electron gun like the CRT.
3. Older CRT models may have burnt out effect, i.e. the phosphor layer behind in the display tube gets "burnt" leaving a permanent ghost image on your display. LCD does not use phosphor but liquid crystals hence no burnt out.
4. LCD is less (if not totally zero) radioactive than CRT. The main reason again is the Electron Gun used in all CRT. The Electron Gun accelerates a stream of electrons and fires them towards the phosphor screen which on impact produces the images u see. The radiation comes from the "Accelerator" which uses high tension coils, i.e. high Voltage/current to drive the electrons, hence the radiation.
5. LCD are much much thinner than CRT, hence space savings.
6. LCD is a beauty, CRT is a chunky fat puppy.

Size, weight: LCDs are much lighter and smaller than an equivalent CRT (making notebook PC's possible)
This also allows LCDs to be made bigger than CRT's, as a large CRT would need a massive tube, where an LCD is still mostly just the panel.
Plus, an LCD does not emit all of the harmful radiation that a CRT does.

It saves Electricity and Desk space. The contrast ratio of TFT is much higher than CRT monitor making the display very clear and bright.

First: TFT/LCD monitors saves spaces on your disk
Second: it has lower radiation than the CRT that mean TFT/LCD monitors doesn't hurt your eyes
Third: the color looks brighter
Fourth: the image looks prettier

space saving. nothing else. i actually prefer CRT monitors because LCD monitors can have a delay problem. manufacturors have gotten the delay down to about .15 seconds, but it can still sometimes be noticable. also, because of the bulk of an CRT monitor, you dont have to worry about it falling over and breaking which i have seen so many times...

The LCD gives you a much neater look in terms of sizes, its not as bulky as the crt. It also saves alot of space and you could easily move it elsewhere anytime.
The main advantage is that it does not generated as much heat as the CRT.
