Paul,

The purpose of child support is based soley upon one party taking a financial responsibility for a child or childrens well being.
If the mother doesn't see to it that the kid doesn't go to school that falls under a Parental caretaking/educational responsibilty.
If the child does not reside with and you are not the Primary Parent then whether he/she goes to school or not fall on the parent/guardian that cares for the child primarily. But, if your obligated by the courts to pay child support then yes, you have to pay reguardless, because it's mandatory. Just look at it like this if you Lease a car but, never drive are still obligated to pay the car note? You know the answer. Good luck ---Askme922

Yes you do still have to pay because the support is for the child, not for the mother or the school. If you have issues with the way she is raising your child, you will need to take that up with your lawyer or if you have a decent relationship with the mother, then discuss this with her first.

Child support is to be paid regardless of whether your child is in school. Even though the child is not in school, he still has to eat, have clothing, have a roof over his head, have medical care etc. Get the picture?

Child support is still granted because its the cost of living, food, shelter, clothing, etc. With that said if you are unhappy about the way the child is living then take it to court ...

It doesn't matter what your ex-wife does or doesn't make your child do. You are still responsible to pay child support since he/she is still your child. If that situation keeps up, however, you can go to court and try to win custody based upon her neglect.

Even if your child doesn't attend school shouldn't your child be entitled to three meals per day?
Since you are so busy seeking a valid reason not to pay support, i suggest you alter your schedule and escort the child to school yourself.
The amount of support you are paying doesn't cover the total living costs.
You dead beat!

You should be concerned about your kids education instead of getting happy about getting out of paying your child support.
