Never. My thousands of hours of volunteer work are not sacrifice; they are what keep me going. The money I give to charity is not sacrifice; it is just sharing with others. The baby I gave up for adoption was not a sacrifice; he was a little boy who needed a better life. When I give up a night's sleep to help a friend, that is just being a friend. When I give up points to have a question answered, that is just "payment" for knowledge. Sacrifice is what soldiers do.

Well, I wouldn't say sacrificed... but, I found out I had a child on the way, and gave up my party lifestyle, and gave up coke, crack, pot, speed, and alcohol, in favor of my little girl. I came back to the alcohol, and it's not a BIG thorn in my side, but the rest is distant history. And I've never been so happy to have an obligation in my life. EVER! Her presence may have saved my life. And I've saved hers twice, so far. But that's what a parent's for.
