Family Guy, it was the original and while American Dad is funny, it is too close to the basic set up of Family Guy - character and joke wise - and it doesn't come close to the hilarity caused by an episode of Family Guy.

I totally agree with dwayne1029. Family Guy, but i also like futurama. American dad is also funny, but it does depend on the viewer knowing a bit about current events. But i do enjoy watching American dad because it makes fun of America.

Family Guy hands down, it's funnier and is more fun to watch. The only good part about American dad is the Gay Alien, On Family Guy the plot and characters are better and are more easily remembered.
