this is not as uncommon as it appears firstly this has nothing to do with hormones or testicular cancer, where do these people come up with these ideas, there are a couple of reasons for this once you have ruled out medical reasons, it could be that he has too much bedding, he may be a very restless sleeper, he may be having problems which make his mind active whilst he is asleep, my own son used to run a marathon in his dreams because that was what he wanted to do when awake, get him checked to make sure he is ok and then look at other symptoms and check if he is upset about anything if he does not have a medical problem, time will settle him ,good luck

He could be dealing with a virus or germs, or he may be going through a growth spurt. All growth takes place at night, which is one of the reasons he should get 8-10 hours of sleep. He may also be late coming into puberty, which there is nothing wrong with it. Means he will have a much longer, overall, life span. I imagine it is happening right before midnight. It will settle down.

Click on my image and go to my Yahoo 360 page. You will find a pie chart there that will be of help in dealing with some of his "I'm almost an adult" tendencies. Right click and save it to your computer. Also, consider buying him the book, "10 Stupid Things Men Do To Mess Up Their Lives!"

He's also at the age when it is time to talk to him about testicle cancer, the #1 cancer for males age 15-35. The highest rates show up in males who were sexually active as teenagers. Treatment involves cutting off the affected testicle(s) followed by radiation treatment, but only if caught early. Caught late, and you go slowly insane, as it moves to and eats away at the brain, while filling the lungs with fluid.

At 15, his hormones are going to be up in the air so it could just be that BUT there are medical conditions that 'night sweats' are a symptom of.
So..even if he appear's ok, it may be worth trying to get him to visit G.P just for a check up.

Check this site. It has links for you to read and whatever you read, it might be an idea to have the young guy visit your GP for a checkup. You can never be too careful with your children. I hope the little guy is Ok. It's probably one of those things kids get. Try not to worry.
