24 karat Gold is supposed to be pure, Electronics grade gold, (used in satellites, computer chips, and space shuttles etc) is as pure as can be produced, 99.999% pure also called five nines pure. Pure gold is very soft, So it can't be used for jewelry. So impurities are added to make it stronger. Most gold jewelry is 18 karat or less to make it so that it lasts longer, and doesn't wear away.

Iths called the chinese gold.. if i not wrong its call 99.6gold or 98.6 Gold add with some other metal i think...
