I have some videos on YouTube that aren't getting many hits, and I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to get more airplay out of them.

Put in some efford into making up good search terms. Just comedy is not much. At least put sex and p0rn in it so you at least get 1000 hits a day :) No kidding at least you get listed in somebodies seach query.

Quality.
If you make a video that is worth watching, all you need is to post it.
Bring something new, something that will stay in people's thoughts at least for a while.
There is no promoting scheme on YouTube.
If your video is good, people will watch over and over, then show it to friends who will send it to other friends and so on.
It's all word of mouth. Even YouTube doesn't know what to promote until the videos actually begin to garner interest day in and day out.
So GO! Creat your masterpiece!
