Previous posters were correct in referring to Queen Victoria, but it had more to do with any woman could be just like a queen.

That company has made a fortune selling little tiny things that amuse and delight, yet are only used for a short period of time.

I think the reference intended is to Victorian Ethics, which were scrupulous.. and what is the secret of the Victorian ethics?? why the beautifull lingerie sold under the brand name "victoria's secret".. don't you just love the way marketers/advertisers are making their daily bread??
