I told my friend how I wished marriage happened to me like it is going to happen for my other friend and she turned round and said "you'd run a mile if any man approached you". I felt so upset.

What she said was insensitive but maybe she did not mean it that way. Let her know how you feel. A real friend will apologize
and try to be more respectful next time.

Well, would you run a mile? Maybe she's been a witness to your pickiness. It doesn't sound like she meant to insult you. She does think you're APPROACHABLE, but not interested. Maybe it is only offensive because it is a touchy, true point for you. I bet she'd have a lot of good advice to offer on the matter since she had the nerve to say that. Just ask her what she meant and tell her that she struck a nerve. Communication is a beautiful thing which always serves to help us grow. Maybe what she says will help you move toward that marriage you want! We only really change when one situation becomes too uncomfortable for us. Miss Lady, looks like your time has come.

See, there is nothing to be upset about here. People say alot of things that might hurt you. The real trick is to ignore them as they know nothing when they say so. However, if you feel that there has been even an ounce of truth in her remark, still do not get upset and think about it. What could be wrong if a man approach a woman. Its just natural and all you get to see is whether you two are compatible or not. Do not worry. Its a part of life.

The truth always hurts. There must be some truth in it forit to hurt you. Look on the bright side. At least you have a friend who would tell you the truth. Ask her what made her say that and learn from it. At the same time, tell her it did hurt you but you appreciate her honesty and take that friendship up to the next level.

I would look at what she said! It might have offended you then at the moment and it hurts still! just look at what she said and really ask yourself if that is true! Cause sometime our friends don't mean to say it in a way to hurt you but to get you to realize something about yourself! It sounds like you really shouldn't be all that mad at her for saying it! I would ask her what she meant by it!

usually, snide remarks like that don't bite unless there is an element of truth to it. So ask yourself, do you constantly think that no guy is good enough for you?

If the answer is no, then tell her to go have a nice warm glass of shut the hell up.

Don't ever take to heart whatever mean things people say to you, whenever someone says something intentionally hurtful, it's usually cos they feel shitty themselves and no self esteem and want to put down people. If you know what you're about, why would you worry?

Is there some truth in it ??? Do you give that impression ??? If you don't then take it with a pinch of salt and tell her to shut up x

just ignore it - put it down to pre wedding jitters! Im sure she didnt mean it in a bitchy way and you dont really want to be bringing up conflict before her wedding.

it's hurting and what she's done was ugly, but now it's time to realize if it's true...if it is than you should try something to get over this...you might be grateful later for this dead-lock broken
