Let's pretend...Thousands of years into the future when a new civilization is built and archaeologists (or whatever they are called then) start to dig up our civilization, what will they think? Will they think that the huge golden M's all over the world was a religion and we all followed the leader Ronald? I think it could be a funny possibility. Have you thought of any other possibilities that the future might presume about us?

Sorry, I didn't mean the planet earth blowing up as in the world ending. I ment something along the lines of a new civilization...dinosaurs...Cro-Magnon...Samaritans....Ancient Greece/Rome...to nowadays.

Is this a trick question? Because if the world ended tomorrow, there would be no archaeologists.

But this is an interesting question. They'd find iPods, Starbucks cups, and pictures of people dressed "emo" style. I shutter to think of what THEY would think about our society.

They'd also probably do what all foreigners do...watch movies and think that's how everyone lives in that particular country.

Yes i often have these strange thoughts, I think any people of the future would look back on us as absolute nut cases who were not happy with every gorgeous thing the world had to offer, instead we killed and bombed people for fun,
the leaders bush and blair were bonkers and the fact that people flew planes into sky scrappers to appeaase their God would be met by hysterical laughter,
you could not write it could you,,??
we should be gratefull for our modern excistence and live and let live, maybe its time to withdraw from international politics and let each country fend for themselves as it used to be,, that way we could not be accused of favouring one side against the other in the name of peace,,
cheers

well, if the world were to end tomorrow, it would end as we know it, not totally end. I am not sure what they would think of us in the future, but think about the over population in some areas of the world. and how there is a congregation of people in cities. They would find all kinds of bones together.

One of my geology instructors in college told our class that the only man made items that would survive en masse for over a million years would be items made of porcelain, i.e. sinks and toilets. The implications are amusing, to say the least.

They'll have a good laugh at our way of life and stupidities but they'll most certainly appreciate the refined Mac's burgers and they'll regret that they weren't born in our times to enjoy the luxury of junk food !!!

I think it's happened before, probably many times, and we have no idea what all the crap we're digging up was actually used for.
