After playing spades with this person player name of: shyy_anne she just was so rude and became verbally abusive and vulgar thru the entire game. The closer I got to winning the more threats she swore on me. She openly admitted to sending viruses to me and specifically nagged me to read my mail. After the game I immediately started getting weird pop-ups and update agreement (crazy stuff). Then even some casino was downloading automatically (which I deleted before it ended). What can I do to ensure my safety to my computer and frankly myself from this disturbed person?

have a good firewall and virus scan on your computer (i use mcafee firewall and virus scan)(and keep them up to date)

next report the person to yahoo and forward any emails she sent to you (just dont download anything from the emails)

and i'd run a spyware program to cleanup your pc sounds like you have some go here for a free one

You should be using a good antivirus with antispyware (Norton 2006 has antispyware included). Do not open or view suspicious e-mails, use popup blocker.

Just report the person to Yahoo.

If you kept any of the email, forward it to abuse@yahoo.com, or just send them a letter describing your problem if you don't have anything to show them. If she's in yahoo, they will deal with her and send you a response.
