They'll encourage you to conserve by putting another tax on gas,
maybe $1.50 a gallon more tax .
The want you to drive an electric car , but they're against building power plants of any type , so learn how to walk .

Democrats cannot lower gas prices any easier than the republicans can. What the dems would try to do is apply a price cap. Like in Hawaii. That doesn't work, the price of gas fluctuates according to supply and demand, and security of the market. The gas prices are not set by Bush. They won't be fixed by the next president, whatever political party he belongs to. The only thing the government controls is the federal tax on gas, which is ridiculously high. Lower that and the gas companies wouldn't push their prices up, so that they can make a decent profit. When it comes down to it. Big government is greedy.

See, this is what I am talking about. A true question aimed at obtaining knowledge. Kudos!
Add in 30 min later: This is the perfect opportunity for some of the very strongly opinioned Dems on this site to prove you know something about your party's platform.

Nothing. The democrats in this country are as corrupt as the republicans. As long as politicians are being bought off by corporations, the needs of the people of this country will never be met.
It's going to get a hell of a lot worse before it gets any better. I honestly think that we will see some sort of 2nd revolution in this country within the next 20yrs.

Hi me,
This is a easy question. They will raise the price and taxes for everything else, voila, lower gasoline prices.

Kiss OPEC's butt, reduce the military, raise your taxes, and tell you how they are for the working people, While they block more refineries,. stop us for drilling our own oil, blame the Republicans for the price

war in a region that produces any product automatically raises the price of that product due to questions of supply... it's pretty simple economics...
so, if we aren't in Iraq and don't invade other oil producing countries (which most dems want to set a timetable to leave)... then prices will most likely go down...
it's pretty simple..
