As a N.Y. Jets fan, I am not confident in the selection of Chad Pennington over Patrick Ramsey as the starting quarterback. No athlete in all of professional sport has ever come back 100% after having two operations (rotator cuff surgery) like the operations Pennington has undergone.
I doubt Pennington will last 16 seconds, never mind 16 games!
With Pennington soon to be on the disabled list, Patrick Ramsey will no doubt finish the season and if something happens to Ramsey early in the season, that's it for the Jets fans. Season's over. The head coach of the N.Y. Jets, Eric Mangini, should have picked Ramsey as the starting QB, not Pennington.
There is no doubt, the Tennessee Titans will be blitzing on September 10 as the season gets underway for the Jets. And, their target will be Pennington.
How does your favorite team look after all of the pre-season maneuvering? Are you confident and...
Are you ready for some football ?

Pennington actually did pretty well and the Steelers lost Randle el Hines Ward is capable of picking up the slack along with Cedrick Wilson and Nate Washington and Heath Miller Santonio Holmes will do good on punts and have a 500 yard season this year and Kimo von Oelhoffen is at the Jets but he won't last for more than two years so I say the Steelers will beat out the Bungles and win the division

As a Bills fan, I am quite optimistic about the season as whole. We have a hellish opening, but with tools like Salisbury declaring such ridiculous notions as "They won't even score of the Pats!", I really want us to go out there and kick some ***. We outplayed the Patsies in Gilette Stadium last year for over three quarters, let's see how we do with a coaching staff that is competent. JP has progressed more in one offseason this year than he's progressed his first two seasons in the NFL, and that leads directly to coaching.
We're better in a few areas, especially the oline(you guys should just start Mangold at center, if you aren't already...Teague is a scrub!), but, mostly, we're different. I'm sure everyone remembers us being predicted to go the playoffs, but incompetent coaching and a complete lack of chemistry sunk us. Everyone from McGahee to Fletch has said as much.
We cut a bunch of vets that were unproductive and/or cancers that more or less ran the asylum. We bartered an obstinate Eric Moulds into Kyle Williams, whose been tearing it up in the preseason. We dumped "Fat" Mike Williams and Benny "The Penalty" Anderson. We jettisonned Mike Mularkey, who never had a clue and still doesn't Carp fans!
We got rid of Lawyer Milloy(who apparently has trouble feeding his family with his multi-million dollar salary) who can't cover and drafted Donte Whitner. We're playing a Cover-2(a fact that is lost upon ESPN) and we need our safeties to be able to cover. And Milloy, regardless of whether or not he's washed-up, couldn't cover a paraplegic in a coma. Donte is a lot better in coverage and can bring the pain as well. Jabari Greer and Ashton Youboty round out the cornerbacks, with veteran Troy Vincent at FS to direct everything and help Donte out. Ryan Denney has excelled in the preseason, and McCargo has demanded a double-team every down he's been on the field. Schobel is a sack machine. And we rotate our DTs heavily, so they should be fresh until the fat lady sings.
Another note...we actually seem to be well-conditioned this year. Last year, everyone was dying in the 4th quarter. Now, it seems we're in good shape once more.
And I hope to God you guys don't embarass yourselves too badly. I live in Albany and shall be forced watch you play the Titans, in what will surely be the first shot fired in the #1 overall draft-pick race. Hehehe....J-E-T-S JUST END THE SEASON!

i think the loss of your head coach to the chiefs is a bigger deal than the qb situation.. pennington is healthy and under contract.. i feel confident he will play all season

As a Cowboys fan, I am excited about our defense. On the other side of the ball, not so much. Our offensive line is suspect at best. But, I am glad that football season is here.

yea!
although im worried about Big bens health, not for the game for his well beign as a person. I read somewhere that, and it makes sense that, not all injuries are immediate and can be seen, or forseen after car accidents.
that makes me think that there could be something else lingering under the surface.
i fear one day he'll just drop dead one day, knock on wood.
hope for the best.
