i've always been pondering about the reason why the author/s or creator/s of final fantasy 7 has killed aerith when everything seems going smoothly between her and cloud. can you give me your opinion about this? i really loved the two of them, but i guess they just can't be together now, can they? and about tifa... did you think cloud has feelings for her too? besides feeling for aerith? weird huh?

The writer killed off Aerith for an amazing plot line. And it worked. Think about it, if she was never killed the game would not be almost as memorable, because that is the main part in the story that most people think of when they think of FF7.

And @ Microsoft Bob: If you liked FF X, why the hell havent you played 7, it's awesome?!!

Cloud definantly has feelings for Tifa and it's possible the writers wanted to put this new sturggle with Cloud. He loves Aerith, but she's gone... so should he move on? It's just a new feeling that they gave him that is new to the story... a new struggle.

Sorry to say I never played Final Fantasy 7. But I did just want to sound off and say that I thought Final Fantasy 10 ruled, and I wished that they could have brought back Tidus and Auron back for FF X-2.

FF X had a great storyline. It's one game I bought at full price when it first came out, and it's so good I don't plan on selling it to an exchange store anytime soon. it's just that good.
