The whole quote from C. Tomanio of Texas: "There are some people, and I'm one of them, that believe George Bush was placed where he is by the Lord," Tomanio said. "I don't care how he governs, I will support him. I'm a Republican through and through"

What has she been smoking? The way Bush does it is if you put your pic nic blanket 5ft from an ant hill. And when the ants attack the food you go stomp the hill. And as more ants pour out, you stomp harder. And even though they get in your socks and bite the heck out of you, just stomp even harder. After you have agitated more and more ants and they swarm the the food, call it a success because they could not get into the olives. Sent by God? God doesn't chose clowns to do his work.

The last time people willingly followed someone with blind passion. It was in 1941 Germany. And we know who ran things then. 6 million Jews were gassed along with about 4 million other undesirables. God gave man wisdom. So why not use it to view logic to extrapolate the real in the deal?

Anyone who blindly follows someone else, regardless of the facts and unwilling to reconsider, has given up their free will.

That person has devolved (or un-intelligently de-designed) from sheep to lemming. It doesn't matter who you choose to blindly follow, or why.

Blind faith in God is one thing. People are not so dependable.

Yeah, that's just dumb. But it's my opinion that the only thing worse than blind support is blind hate.

The Germans did not blindly follow Hitler. They were simply either unaware of what was going on right under their noses, or they were afraid to speak out.
Haven't you ever watched Judgement at Nuremberg? Great movie. And it's got an all-star cast. Oh, AND it's 100% true!

I do not see much difference, between her attitude and Bin Laden's followers ! or as you put it the Nazi's .........
Which brings us to an interesting point ! ................

All totalitarian ideas, governments or leaders , tend to be religious ! or religious-like ! why ? because the cornerstone of all religions, is "blind-belief" ! in an all-mighty that can not be explained by reason or logic ! so you must have "faith !" , and what is faith if not a belief without proof ( i.e. blinded) , why must I feel it in my heart and not my brain !
It is this blinded faith that is the root of most evil on earth now, loyalty to something or someone without reason, just because it has always been that way !
Politicians do not like it when we question them, they love a religious like follower/supporter !
I am not bashing religion ( may be a little ), I am trying to say people/governments use religious ideas, to appeal to our sense of religion , and ultimately fear of God !

Bush is an evil war monger. During the Vietnam war, he was a coward in hiding. Lets send his daughters over there and the children of the senate and congress. That would end this madness.

Tomanio is an idiot. Bush is an idiot.

I think there is more craziness in the fact that people pose these ranting political questions to random Internet people because they are so frustrated in real life, that they need to try to find some other angry, faceless, political idiot to validate their own pointless rambling.
