We do need to work on our own problems here before we continue to stick our high and mighty nose in other countries affairs. But that is the typical american mindset to mind other peoples business when they cant clean thier own back yard. We are a self-righteous warmongering cast of butchers who cant even tie our own shoes.

Yup, right up until the next Hitler. Then they'd be BEGGING us to rejoin the rest of the world.

I think we should isolate ourselves though, financially. If other countries don't want to support us, no more aid for them. No more of our Armed Forces coming over to help out when they erupt in civil war, no more ANYTHING. See if they feel safer then.

I think many people THINK they would feel safer.

I think we should do it. The reality would soon sink in.

Good example this week is the interference of China in elections in Africa. Take a look at http://www.afpc.org/china-africa.shtml

Now if you eliminate the US as a counterbalance, well, the "world" would be quickly asking for US assistance, again.

No, I think the world would be much more terrified if the US isolated itself. It would be losing the only protection they have.

For a couple of years, then just like the last time America took an isolationist policy and stance' they would be screaming at us for not getting involved sooner. As they did in WWII. History does repeat itself. It will again
