i keep getting stuck at -5x=3x

thanks alot all....i kept doing some really weird things like makings fractions and stuff

OK, so you get to -5x = 3x.

You want to get everything with an x to the same side of the equation... so add 5x to both sides.

This gives you 0 = 8x

Then you just divide by 8, and get x = 0.

I couldn't figure it out, but if you solve in reverse, then Alexandra is correct with x=0.

12-2x-3x-6=4x+6-x=
-2x-3x-4x+x=6+6-12=
