to be valued for something other than her face or body.... to develop her actual (non-physical) talents, skills, interests, passions... to be made to feel *human* first, rather than sexy/beautiful/female/trophy first.

don't get me wrong, being made to feel sexy and beautiful is also important. but beautiful women will notice a guy who either doesn't care about those things as much, or focuses more on something ELSE that's special about her -- something that nobody else has noticed before, and something that she values/loves about herself.

not only will she work harder at being attractive for that guy -- but she will remember him, and be intrigued. i guess in a way it's a challenge. but also, it's feeling like he's special and interesting enough to not be totally focused on the same old boring things that everyone else melts over and becomes stupid about. she will want to be around him because he'll let her be & feel smart & interesting *herself*. (rather than the usual: feeling like a trophy around some annoying peacock of a guy who's working overtime to be funny/entertaining/interesting.)

oh, and another tip (this may sound contradictory to what i just wrote, but if you think about it, it isn't) -- don't overdo it, but if you can make her laugh, you're in. ;)

oh, and i just saw your little edit there, about wanting answers from guys... i'm not sure why that's the case, since it's the women who would know what they want, not the guys (unless i misunderstood the question). but it seems to me that if you're looking for guy answers, you should post in a more guy-oriented section, instead of the Makeup category. then more guys will see it. also say something like "for guys only, please" in the title.

Respect

Intelligent conversation
Someone who looks at the face not the boobs
Respect as something other than a blow up doll
Romance

That's the basics.

A guy who cleans his bathroom more than once a month
A guy who can make dinner (whatever it is) once a week
A guy who defends your honor to his friends
A guy who won't fight your male friends

What... you want marriage considerations??

A guy who gets along with your mother - and his own
A guy who respects differences in people
A guy who knows his own faults and reveals them to you before the rest of the world
A guy who can take a step back when he gets angry

A man who treats you as his queen and equal.

Well, guys would have no clue, so another chick is answering. They want to be liked for themselves in addition to their looks...no one likes to be a piece of meat.
