Well, basically what France get is three points for beating the Azzurri, but if u asked them (the French team) they would probably say some sort pleasure in beating the reigning world champions and also in the fact that Italy are in a bit of a mess having collected only 1 point in both qualifiers. But in truth, its only 3 points.
And they don't get a trophy. Just points.

They get respect from all over the world. Read the headlines, sweetheart. Everybody (except for everyone in your country of course) now views the world cup as a fluke.
Also, we put you behind 5 points in Euro qualifications.
We may not have your chocolate trophy, but it's tainted with shame, cheating, and provocation. You can keep it since all of those things pertain to your team, not ours.

It was a European Championship qualifier. They get 3 points more than Italy on the table.

These matches being played now, in Europe are to qualify for the Euro 2008.
So France would have gained points towards qualifying.

but the real deal is that, the whole knows that italy didn't deserve the Wcup (except italians)
