as i changed HDDs from ML570 server to ML350 server, it is not taking same IP address, ex: in ML570 i have 172.16.0.6. after replacing HDDs to ML 350 server it is not taking the same IP. I want to asign same IP what should do with this problem???. i heard that the IP has to reset before Changing HDDs. but after all is there any solution to assign the same IP.

YES. Its very easy, when you remove a harddisk or a nic the system itself thinks that the IP address is present, so it will not alow you to provide the same. as you say you should reset the IP address before changing the HDD,

Download "winshock", you can do it from here

run it, restart your computer, and put the IP address you want.
It will solve your problem surely.

If I understand this correctly, you moved the HDDs from the 570 to the 350.

You have new HDDs in the 570. You want the 570 to have an IP of 172.16.0.6?

Then the IP address on the 350 is probably already set to 172.16.0.6 because the drives carried the IP address (if it's a static IP, which I'm assuming it is), so the 350 needs to be changed to something else before the 570 can have that IP address. No two devices on the same network can have the same IP address.
