Lots of detergent doesn't really rid it easily. Have to rewash it afew times.

oxy clean w/ your laundry detergent should work wonders. oxyclean not only oxidizes stains but also odors

Buy better detergent like Tide instead of the store brand.

Never had to wash smoke out but once. But anyway, try febreeze on it before you wash or do to wal mart and get the smoke out spray for 2 bux and spray it witt htat. Hope this helps

Add 1/2 cup tp 1 cup of vinegar depending on the size of your load.

try using a different type of detergent. Tide w/febreeze for example.

Try adding just some plain hydrogen peroxide to the wash water.

Before you wash the clothes, spray them with Febreze. Then wash them and that should take care of it.
