I usually make myself a timetable which has all the work I need to do in it, but also plenty of regular small times to procrastinate and do things I enjoy. I wonder why you can't be focused though...do you enjoy it? Is it boring? I do know that some of the people who were on my course at Uni loved the Physics we were doing and weren't lazy, just found it really hard to stay focused until they found the right method for them (some work better closer to a deadline etc). Lots of sleep, good food and regular exercise are the boring but proved methods though, at the end of the day....good luck :)

Keep on thinking about the consequences of what might happen if you dont concentrate. That is enough motivation for me to get my jobs done on time, rather before time I'd say.

Think of life of welfare, your house & car being repossessed your wife walking out, walking the streets all day...keeps me on my focused

gets lots of sleep, drink a lot of water, and take your mind of the work every 15 minutes

Ensuring that you are wearing the correct glasses, if you were to wear someone Else's you may find that you will not be able to focus at all.

Make sure you have a quiet space where you can study undisturbed, have good lighting, no background noises (tv, radio, etc)
