my right cheek is fatter than my left cheek. When i smile, there's this extra bulge on my right cheek and it makes my profile look really deformed. is there any way to fix this, besides plastic surgery?

If facial massage (consult a PT) did not work try using slimming lotion (this may sound weird but its worth is wonderful; lotion for the body is much more concentrated than those of for the face).

Has it always been like this? It sounds like you have a cyst under the skin. This would be a lump or bump that probably doesn't hurt and grows very very slowly over the years.

If it is a cyst, a doctor can drain it in a few minutes. It shouldn't hurt, and insurance will likely cover it, especially if the cyst is near your eye or something.

If your face has always been uneven, make the larger part of your cheek slightly darker with powder or bronzer. Avoid putting blush or highlighting/glimmer powder on it. Then play up the other side - make it look bigger by making it slightly lighter.

If all else fails, practice posing in the mirror so that you most flattering side shows in pictures. (We all do this!) And remember that no one notices it as much as you do. I've always felt I had a huge forehead, but when I mention it to people, they are surprised and think I'm crazy.

i don't know how to add to my question, so i'll post here.

there are a few people who have commented on my uneven cheeks. they usually ask me if i chew with one side of my mouth more than the other (which i don't). when i ask close friends and family, they say that one side is just "a little" bigger than the other. my right cheek feels more muscular than the other. at some angles, it looks like there's a dimple on my right cheek. but that's actually the shadow/edge of the bulge. when i smile, the left side of my lip goes further into my cheek than the right side. and by cheek, i mean the area below your cheekbones, outside of your teeth.

i think for a short time when i was little, i chewed with one side more than the other because of a toothache that i had one side. a friend of mine said that the side you chew with less is the one that's suppose to be bigger, but i thought it would be the other way around.

Is this something only YOU worry about, or is it something others notice too? Most people are exceptionally good at finding faults with themselves. Personally, I think I have to wide nostrils, silly-looking short legs, a bit too big beer-belly, and so on... Nobody else notices this at all.

You should ask a couple of your friends, parents, etc, if they have noticed it, and if they think it's ugly. The answers you get, might make you think again about "fixing" your body. Besides, nobody loves perfection, it's the faults with a person that makes us love them.

Sorry but I don't think so. You can't lose weight off your cheeks like your body. I think the only way would be surgically. Maybe you could ask your doctor if there is someway to take fat OUT of your cheek.
