It is totally normal to enjoy food before you are pregnant, and hate it after you get pregnant...even though things sound good, they don't always make you feel ok afterwards...it happens to me all the time.. plus, McDonalds is pretty greasy anyway...pregnant or not, lots of people get sick from it.

It could be the grease in the burger and fries that is making you queasy. When you are pregnant some some foods, especially greasy food, make you more sensitive to these types of foods. I know when I was pregnant there were some foods I couldn't tolerate even though I enjoyed them before. It's just the hormones and everything being more heightened during those 9 months.
You would be best to avoid them just now or have them very occasionally while you are pregnant so as to avoid the sickness. Being pregnant is hard enough without having to deal with sickness caused by foods as well!

Lots of foods which you enjoyed before you were pregnant make you feel queasy once you are pregnant! I've really gone off a lot of things I used to love.
I don't think its anything to do with not having them for 4 months, its probably a pregnancy thing.
I have gone through phases in my pregnancy - on and off foods - suddnely foods which I love make me feel really sick and other times I really crave certain other foods.
As for MaccyD's, well they do tend to be a bit rich so maybe thats why it made you queasy. I see no harm in having the odd MaccyD's when pregnant, I've had a few (I'm vegetarian though so I only have the toasted deli veg sandwich). I just listen to my body and eat what it wants, it rarely steers me wrong!!
Try a Subway if you want a fast food sandwich - they are usually healthier - much less fat and lots more salad, plus fresher - I love Subway Veggie Delite and they are pretty healthy.

I'm having the exact same problem. Before I got pregnant I used to love McDonalds and have at least one a week and now that I'm pregnant just thinking about it or any other fast food like Burger King and KFC makes me feel sick. I had a McDonalds the other night for my tea and as soon as I'd eaten it I felt terrible.

People who've never eaten a Mcd's will taste it and tell you it's foul, the same way a Jewish person given bacon will often be sick and say it tastes disgusting. If you don't eat or drink something for a while your actual taste buds kick in rather than your memory. Especially with things like Mcd's. During my pregnancy I managed to give up D.coke of which I was drinking about 2L a day!!! After the pregnancy I couldn't stand the stuff - it tasted so weird it was unbelievable!!
Good luck

When you are pregnant, your digestive system may not be able to handle foods that you would normally eat. Hence feeling queasy after eating Macdonalds. Anyway Macdonalds is junk food and you should be eating good healthy food so that baby and you will thrive.

I went off anything mushy like porridge, also couldn't chew chewing gum which was odd as I always had a piece in my mouth. The weirdest one was cous cous. I love it, or did, I had some on a salad and was nearly sick when I took a mouthful. I still can't bring myself to try it again now and my son is 6 months old!

Your body has adjusted to the lack of fatty foods and started to realise you respect it again. You will find that if you avoid these rubbish foods for a while your body will become resistant to the rubbish they contain. Well done for kicking the habit for 4 months but now listen to your body and refrain from them...especially for the benefit of your feotus!

I had the same problem - i ended up eating the nuggets only and diet coke to drink. Make sure you try to avoid their milkshakes though as you're not really meant to drink them when pregnant - something to do with the milk not being properly pasteurised????
Good luck and i hope you finally find something you can eat and enjoy!!

Quite simply its too much fat, my wife had the same problem with fatty foods, MacDonald's is bad for you if eaten to often and that amount of fat is not good for the baby so your are bound to feel queasy.
