Instead of the "authorities" coming after us "little Guys" why don't these jokers go after the ones that put these sites up and take them down? Yes you read about lawsuits being won, but, these sites are still up. My theory is that the RIAA run these sites themselves trying to entrap people. Any thoughts / ideas on this subject?

Its the "File sharing" that is illegal not so much the downloading. You can share your own files, let it be music, video clips, pictures, or documents. You are just NOT allowed to download music from others that is NOT theirs and your NOT allowed to share files that dont belong to you from the start. So Limewire and the others haves a reason for their program but however most people use them for more of the illegal reasons.
If you ever get caught for downloading the illegal files then you could always argue entrapment, it might not work but always worth a try. lol

These sites may be short lived. Laws are getting tougher.
There was a site with free guitar tabs. It's involved in litigation at the present time. Off line now.

After all, writers and artists expect royalties, pay, for their talents, just as everyone expects to be paid for work or services.

If I were a label or an artist, I would just constantly upload bad copies, so people would get a taste, but end up buying it out of frustration trying to find a good copy.

But then again, if I were a label or an artist, I'd probably be a moron tycoon.
