You are not supposed to feel it, so you would not notice if it had fallen out. It sounds like it was inserted incorrectly.

IF it was inserted properly you should have felt it come out! You should have had alot of pain! My sister expelled one and was craming for many days until it finally came out. They insert it in like a straw device and they pull the straw out so that the wings of it expand. Then when its time for removal they yank it out so the wings swing back. so you should have been craming! I would talk to your gyn. Maybe it was a defected IUD? make sure that the IUD didnt come apart and thats probably why you didnt feel it. Make sure all pieces are out if this was the case. I would not take it lightly! Id ask for a Ultrasound or watever to make sure the wings werent left inside.

Well lets see. they make it so you cant feel it after they put it in and if it fell out.. well I am not surprised you didn't feel it that time either.. I would ask your local GYN that question.
