why do sports figures get paid what they do, in the millions? and why does the education system lack in funding? i mean the teachers are not paid even a speck of what a guy on skates is getting or a guy throughing around or kicking around a ball is getting?? why is that??
wouldnt the world or Northamerican be better if we put as much money into the education system that in the sport system??

I agree teachers should get paid more but I also believe that they should be held to a higher standard than they are now. Athletes do get paid too much, but they spend their whole life training for it, hours every day and it is a business also. Also only 1 out of 1000 athletes (even fewer in alot of sports) makes it to the pro level, and few of them, get the multi million dollar contracts. Teachers graduate college and can find jobs with a little searching. All of them. They don't have to be the best of the best. No tryouts, Just qualified.

These guys are making tons of money, because they are the performers who are attracting the business. Should they be paid penny's even though the team is making millions? And teachers get paid pretty well for doing nine months worth of work, 8 am-3 pm hours, and weekends off. And they aren't held accoutable for anything. The way to fix this failing system isn't to just keep pumping money into it.

The problem is, most sports are filled with people who should be locked up, for one reason or another. They get off easy because they can hit a ball 500 feet, make a half-court shot, of throw a Hail-Mary pass. And kids in school look up to these people.

Worse yet, those stadiums they play in are payed with taxpayer money (more money that doesn't go towards the schools.)

What they're doing is business that's why atlethes get paid money even though teachers have more important jobs.

People would rather watch sport, than watch children studying. A bit of a messed up world if you ask me....
