I'm going to get lots of Thumbs Downs and contradictions for this, but it's only because so many people have such a personal vested interest in astrology.

There is, and never has been, the slightest evidence that astrology provides any accurate predictions for either the future, or the character of a person. If it could ever be demonstrated to work, in properly controlled conditions, it would change the face of science and knowledge for ever. But it hasn't, and I strongly suspect it never will be.

Okay, you professional astrologers and gullible folks, flame away. I'm used to it!

Yes and no. You can choose to read one of two answers to this question.

One: The Metaphysical
Astrology is a combination of more than just the sign we are born under. What pop astrology calls the horoscope is really a summarization of the traits as found in the Sun Sign. A person, in actuality, really has an astrological sign for each planet and illumination (sun, moon, mercury, moon nodes, Vulcan, Chiron, lillith, mercury, mars, Venus, etc). Each planet or illumination represents a different type of energy. Example.. Mars is how we act. And each sign represents how that type of energy is used. Example Scorpio = Passionately. As such, someone with Mars in Scorpio is going to act very passionately.

The sun sign, or what most call the astrology sign, is what we are here to learn in this lifetime. As such, *most* individuals will not fully match up with their sign and many won't even come close. Why? Because those are the traits that we are suppose to be becoming, not the traits that tell us who we already are.

A true in depth study of astrology can take years and one still will not grasp all what can be discovered with it.

Two: The psychological.
There are things called archetypes. An archetype is a universal symbol that everyone can relate to. The term was coined by Carl Jung, a prominent psychologist who broke away from his teacher Freud because of disagreements they had. Example of archetypes is mother. When one says the word mother it conjures up an image that pretty much everyone can relate to. Astrology has taken popular myths and formed archetypes with them. Leo is suppose to represent the lion which is suppose to be at center stage and very traditional in how they approach things. The sun is suppose to represent the father or your life force energy. When you combine archetypical energies you paint a picture that allows most people to believe what they here, because, again, everyone can identify with archetypes on at least some level.

My ultimate and final answer to the question: Yes, we can believe in our astrology sign and that we have characteristics of this sign in our life, but we can't allow it to control our life and make excuses for the actions that we take because ultimately we are still responsible despite whatever metaphysical astrology or psychological astrology may teach us.

Astrology only predicts the things to happen based on the time you born and the planet positions that radiate some kind of ray to the planet earth. And it should be properly investigated. It' also not true that prediction of becoming a king makes a person king, he has to labour hard to get into the position. Sometimes we do labour hard to get something but we do fail. then we say it's my bad luck. That means we do belive in fate or luck.

Astrology is the definition of fate in your life, but the faith is the chosen path that you want to experience your true life.
If I tell you that your astrology signs together with other details will summarized in early death, you will call me a bull-shitter. So, why not just live your own life, paint the picture you intend to in life and stop over-believing in those craps. There are truths in astrology, but it is your MIND which changes your fate into FAITH.

No because, for example, no two Gemini's are alike. Some gemini women that I've met have acted more like what astrology says a Cancer should act like to a Scorpio which is me. I've met Piscies women who acted more like a Gemini should towards a Scorpio. So I think astrology is a bit off in many respects.

I have heard several times that, even if one were to be involved in it it would be kind of futile because all of the data and interrelations were not tracked properly and so the positions of stars, etc. are not in the positions relative to the doctrines and rules that are practiced.
