I have an all around glassed in shower and it has that build up on it. It looks foggy. I have tried all that stuff from the stores for the build up but it does not work at all. Any "home remedies" I can try or has anyone tried another cleaning product that has worked. Thank you for youe suggestions.

I use WD-40 ...no joke.It takes the film off the glass and makes it look brand new without scrubbing like crazy. I got the idea from their website. It smells alittle funky at first but I follow it up a day later with windex.

I have the same problem...after a ton of money spent I have the solution.
Buy a bottle of "The Works" and spray on glass.. Leave on for 5 min (be careful and wear a mask). Rinse off with a cup then wipe afterwords with a mr clean sponge. The sponge is great but it wont do the job alone.
Hope this helps

Are you sure it's not supposed to be that etched-look, frosted glass? If it is, you won't be able to get it off, it's permanent.

If it really is just soap scum or some other buildup, you might try lemon juice (or vinegar) and baking soda mixed together on a sponge. It'll foam, and should cause a chemical reaction that will loosen up the buildup.

I've also heard good things about The Works and CLR, you might try those. Good luck!

I'm not sure because my glass has never gotten that dirty, but once you clean it, keep a squeegee (you can find one at wal mart or target) in your shower and squeegee off the glass after every single shower. It's a little time consuming, but you're glass will never get that foggy look again. Just be sure to clean the glass every 2 weeks.

Here are a couple of links if you'd rather get one online:

Magic erasers are good, I agree, but they're relatively expensive and don't last very long. For the same results, apply (REAL) lemon juice to a paper towel and wipe. Not only clean and clear, but great smelling as well!
