i was just given a job and i had to take a drug test and a criminal background check. I have been arested 2 times but for traffic tickets and mainly it was for my sticker that was maybe a month old or weeks old. ********But the 2nd time i was in jail i paid everything and i was clear of all charges, but will that affect me getting the job?

Traffic tickets are a misdemeanor arrest and should not affect the potential for a job. Unless the employer sees the "not taking care" of the tickets, prior to an arrest warrant being issued as a sign of "not taking care of a responsibility>"

In what state do you live? Confusion? I have never heard of any state in this country, (u.s.a.) sending someone to "Jail" over traffic-tickets? Not the violations you have said anyways. I am confused as well? You say you have been arrested 2 times and jailed once? Seems like "Month-Old-Sticker" and "Traffic-Tickets" are hardly cause for being arrested 2 times and jailed once? Sounds like you had numerous tickets, not paid, and an arrest warrant was issued maybe huh? Either-Way, don't try to "Pull-The-Wool" over a potential employers eye's. If they find out, Your most likely not going to be working there. Plus, If it is in fact something as minor as traffic violations, they will not think anything of it, Unless it's D.U.I. or a higher charge. Otherwise, I suggest just laying all your cards on the table and see where that takes you. If they don't hire you, Remember, You were looking for a job when you applied for that one. Good-Luck, Hope it all works out for you.

Depends on the job.....If it is a security thing, it it likely they are looking for felony activities or a trend of criminal behavior. If you are trying to get a job that requires driving...likely your record will hurt you chances. Many companies are doing this to keep from hiring felons, sex offenders, and chronic criminal types. In your case, your activities are mostly harmless so you should be ok

Lying on your application about arrest records is always frowned on by employers. Unless you're working as a security guard or some sensitive job - they may not do anything but will question you. BE HONEST with them. Sometimes employers can be human and use reason.

the only way a traffic ticket would cause you to lose a job is if ,it were for dwi/dui/ vehicle manslaughter, or reckless endangerment, or if you were driving a school bus/limo/ or hazmat, don't lie about it but request that you be able to explain it if it's 10yrs or more don't worry.
