If someone asks for help with, for example, a math problem, and asks for a step-by-step explanation, they sound like they're trying to learn and understand, which is a good use of this forum. Sometimes a person doesn't catch on the first time they hear it, in class.
But when someone posts 6 or 8 questions in a row asking for lists of facts that they could easily have looked up themselves, then that's ridiculous, and someone who just wants somebody to do their homework for them, not help them.
Unfortunately, both types of questions seem to get quick answers. Would be good if people just ignored the questions from the lazy kids, and helped the ones trying to learn how to do something.

A little, but then I realize that many people would ask their parents or siblings, and maybe these people can't do that. What disturbs me more is how many of the questions can be answered in seconds by doing a simple search on Yahoo! or Google.

Not really - everyone needs a little help sometimes. Think of the poor kids whose parents don't give a rat's a$$ and don't take time to help them out.......but then again there are some lazy little sobs out there too!!

It is because they are too lazy to think for themselves and rather than replying to such questions, they should be ignored. I can understand confusion or perhaps insufficient information, but frank laziness is too much. I also think people that ask questions to flaunt a tiny bit of knowledge are foolish...sort of a pathetic trivial pursuit question...and they are holding the card.

That's what wrong answers are for. I love to mess with people who are too lazy to do their own work!

Yes, and it's "their homework...".
"Their" is possessive; "there" is the place (as in "Over there").
