If you have a good relationship then you always have a friend to do things with - movies, dinner, etc. Hopefully, you have things in common - music, hobbies, friends. You always have someone to talk to. Good available sex. Common goals, loyalty, etc. Just a generally good partnership.

To be perfectly honest with you. I lived with my husband for 2 years before we were married, and the only thing that changed when we finally tied the knot, was that I got his last name, and was put on his insurance. That is it.

$$$$ and sex everyday , somebody to worry about you . That means if you choke on a ham sandwhich it won't take 3 weeks to find your corpse and the sandwhich won't rot. Somebody to go places and do stuff with. Somebody to laugh at you when you accidently hammer your finger instead of the nail or walk out the door with a piece of toilet paper hanging out your pants ( hopefully they will tell you about it ). Basically $$$$ , company and sex.
