Hot, Fluffy French Toast. Start with 3 slices of a sweet French bread, about 3/4 of an inch thick. Mix a batter of two fresh eggs, milk, 1 tbbl.spoon Cinnamon, and pour into a flat, square bowl or pan. Place a large table spoon of butter, or margarine in a heavy skillet, heat at med high heat, until all butter is melted , but not browning. At this time take your bread slices from the batter where they have been soaking for the last minute. Slide them , with plenty of the batter into the hot skillet, and cook them about 90 seconds on each side,. When turning over, sprinkle a little more Cinnamon on each slice. Remove them from the skillet, and place them next to your 4 slices of sizzling, thick cut bacon.(Rind on if possible.) Garnish them with your favorite fruit, or maple syrup, or if you prefer, a bit of powdered sugar. Serve with your choice of hot tea, coffee, or milk. Bon Appeteit

French Toast, hands down - with cinnamon and vanilla in the egg batter, nice day old french or other dense bread, perfectly browned and topped with butter and syrup.

I like both, depends on my mood, I like powder sugar with french toast and butter and mrs. buttersworth with the pancakes
