Does anybody here know anything about other countries that America has not invaded.I was shocked to find out that a lot of college students and even grads no nothing about the world outside America.
I think with better education,americans would accept others just the way they are.I am tired of people talking about accents,tired of people wanting to know what they are not willing to embrace.
Do you think that Americans respect people from other countries?

I agree with you...most americans know little other than america...I don't know why this is...perhaps their educational system? I don't think that americans respect other countries...no I don't.

yeah right..most americans dont respect people from other countries. I am working in a call center as a technical support agent and i talked to poeple from different parts of the United States and when they are somehow get amazed when they know that they are talking to someone from Asia. The next time that they call they usually request to be transfered to an onshore agent that is located in the US even if their problem gets resolved by an agent from asia. Isnt that very descriminating? What if we have that hard accent? at least we can be understood.. at least we know what customer service is..They cant just accept that asians are taking works or jobs that americans can have in the US.. dnt you know that lots of asian people looked up americans as superiors? which should NOT be because as a personal experience,most americans doesnt know how to read and they just keep on yelling and yelling and claiming that they are right and they are thinking that they are always right...tsk tsk tsk...
why dont we accept the fact that we have differnt races and you were just lucky enough that you're born in the US and English is your primary langauage.. BUT PLEASE LET"S RESPECT EACH OTHER

Your words expose your anti-American sentiment. America does not "invade" other countries. We liberate and free other countries. If we invaded other countries, the United States would own most of Europe, Japan, the Philippines, Kuwait, and Iraq.
I agree with you regarding American ignorance of other countries and cultures. There is a serious problem with our educational system and the "dumbing-down" of our present society.

Sure, I know lots! Turn off the TV, read the news on BBC.com, and buy a few plane tickets every now and then. It's amazing what's out there!
