Haku (白, Haku? written in jōyō kanji, meaning "white") is a fictional character in the anime and manga series Naruto. In the Malaysian dub, Haku's given name was changed to Shiro in episode 15, leading to the belief that this was in fact his surname. Haku has never been given one, however.

Despite his relatively early death, Haku has made several appearances in flashbacks throughout the series, including one in the second part of the manga. He also ranks consistently high in official character polls, though he's no longer in the top ten.

Haku's character carries many overtones of transgenderism, specifically in regards to his androgynous appearance and cross-dressing tendencies. He also shows an almost homoerotic fixation on Zabuza, leading to questions concerning his sexuality. Naruto in particular notes Haku's feminine appearance, as well as his rather surprising devotion to Zabuza. It's not certain if Haku and Zabuza had any form of a sexual relationship, or if their relationship was more familial in nature. There is some evidence to suggest that the former is true. When Haku explains to Zabuza why he attacked the pressure points in his neck, he stated that he didn't want to "mark up (his) flawless body," (the exact statement differs between translations, but carries the same context). He also crushes Gato's arm when he attempts to grab Zabuza. Additionally, in the English translation of the manga, Haku has been referred to as Zabuza's "consort", a term which is generally used to describe a spouse or mistress. No outright admission of a sexual relationship between the two has been made, however.

Ok people. PREPARE TO HAVE MINDS BLOWN!

Haku is a F***ING GIRL!

Lets start with the physical features.

#1. The most obvious is that she has breasts as is seen most in chapter 12 of the manga as well is several of the fight scenes. No male character in the Naruto series (Except for fat ones and Haku is not fat) has breasts. Also don't use other anime as a way to say anime men can have breasts. This is Naruto, not Fruits basket or whatever other anime/manga you want.

#2 In the anime and manga, during the fight scene as Haku comes out of her ice mirrors with her hand first and it is clearly shown that her pointer finger is longer than her ring finger. This is shown heavily in women (Get your mom, sister, girlfriend, neighbor, or even a stranger that is a girl and check for yourself. Men have ring fingers that are longer.)

#3 No Adams Apple. All men in the series are shown with some sort of Adams Apple while no women have been shown with them.

#4 Haku has a shorter chest (As in she is more legs/neck) than almost every man in the series (Except for the little kids/ shorties)

#5(NOTE, SPOILER FOR SHIPPUUDEN! DON'T READ IF YOU HAVE NOT GOTTEN TO THE WAR!)

Ok so when Haku is revived by Kabuto's Impure World Resurrection Technique, Haku has on lipstick. Yes. She has on lipstick and never before or since does she (That has been seen) wear it.. That means that her soul put on lipstick to accentuate her femininity.

#5 This is the hardest to see with straight canon material. The fact is that with Haku's height (155.9cm.), she would have to have shoulders at about 40.534 cm due to biacromial width which shows that mens shoulders are about 26% of their total height while women have shoulders at 23%. Using her images, I have seen that her shoulders almost 36 cm. While slightly over the woman's average. it is much less than the man's.

All these physical traits greatly show how Haku is a girl.

Now onto what she says.*I will only be using RAW anime literal translations.*

#1 Haku lies when she says she is a man. She is 15 years old and even if she was a boy, she would have called herself a Shounen not an otaku. Now you might say she just said that because she want to be an adult, but earlier in that same conversation, she says that she is not but a child. She identifies as a child but then says that she is a man. It does not make sense unless she were lying to Naruto to protect herself/Zabuza

#2 When she is alone and talking to Zabuza, she uses gender specific pronouns that denout being female in Japanese. If she were truly a boy, she would not use these gender specific pronouns in front of her savior, who wants her to be tougher /more manly. She also blushes as she comments on his "Beautiful" body while using the female pronoun for herself (She said I didn't want to mar your beautiful body).

So tell me now. All of her physical traits point to her being a girl and using logic/ knowing Japanese, you can see how she uses words that says she is a girl and that if she were truly a boy, she wouldn't have said she was a man because she identifies as a child (Note, many psychology surveys have shown that girls with smaller breasts, tend to identify as children for longer. So her identifying as a child at 15 is understandable.) Do you really think that Haku is a boy, based on one conversation she had with someone she knows is an enemy? or are you going to embrace logical facts and see that she is a girl.

a boy. The whole point was that he looked like a girl. Naruto mistook him for a girl when he saw him in the woods
