Moral decline in America has been blamed on the liberal media, goverment, and numerous other sources. This decline is usual in context of christian standards. However goverment has rarely (i'd argue never) controlled morality outside a micro level. I think the confusion is because it is goverments job to protect life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness (traditional translated most tangible into property) that the goverment should be stewards of morality. This is parodoxical because liberty and morality clash so frequently. Historically the protecters of christrian morality have been christians, and not the law. The body that taught morality has been the christian community. However, as the community weakend so has morality. Instead of taking responibility the christian community has blamed everything from teletubbies to MTV. When responibility of morality belongs with the stewards of it.

That is THEE most azz-backwards logic I have ever heard. At one point you are basically saying that Christians are responsible for instilling morality into the community, so that you can set up your arguement that they have dropped the ball on this "reponsibility" and so the decline of America. First of all, the Church ain't the community's daddy. Secondly, if you read your own question carefully, you'll see that you answer your own question: " the community weakend " so my question to you is this: What do you think is the CAUSE of this "weakening"???? Could it be LIBERAL MEDIA? Yup. Question answered.

there is virtually NO channel that the family can trust thier kids to watch alone especially Disney and Nickolodean which are indoctrination channels to immorality on a not even subliminal level.
ex. characters kissing and not married, atheistic values, materialism, witchcraft has really made advances (winks, sabrina, others)

this epidemic of paganism, atheism, immorality and hedonism has only one solution which is the solution the western governments are trying their hardest to fruitlessly stop which is Islam.

This is excellent!

For example, when Christians wanted church-based schooling for children in the past in this country, they got up off their duffs and built parochial schools--themselves! That was the moral, upright, and character building thing to do; I myself have had 16 years of it, if you include my four year college experience, and my daughter also graduated a parochial high school, so I supported it into the next generation.

Now, the weak-willed among them gripe and moan and attempt to bully PUBLIC school districts into adding religion into what is supposed to be a non-sectarian, non religious atmosphere. Isn't it enough that their churches are tax free? Why are they trying to use tax dollars to extend their 'faith'???

Who's stating there even is a moral decine in America? Its all on our own judgement. Personally, I think were just progressing and the population is growing producing more crimes because there are more people. As times change, the social norms do and what was once thought of as taboo is now okay.

IN the 1950's the Christian adults didn't tear down the supreme couts when they legalized adultry, fornication, sodomy, abortion and gambling.. and drove the wedge between church and state as if state took pre-emminence and removed God from every thing they could including school. and they banned prayer from school.. The church did not band together and overthrow the govt then and we have been paying for the church's failing ever since

No. That's an overgeneralization. There are Christians that might be morally wrong, and others that might not.
