I just started ballet and I don't know how OR how often you should clean your leotard and tights. Thanks a bunches!

I agree with all of the above. And it's best to soak it or wash it right after you take it off. That way, the sweat doesn't have a chance to become trapped in the fabric.

I would wash both leotard and tights every day. Just throw them in the washer and drier, there is no need to hand wash any thing. I machine washed mine for years and they held up just fine!

I wash mine after every time I sweat in it which means after every practice. It should say on the label how to wash it. Most likely, it is washeable in cold or warm water with mild detergent. I don't put mine in a hot dryer ever, because I'm afraid it will shrink. I hang it to dry. That said, I have to have more than one set of dance clothes.

every time you wear it, as to how, hand wash or the very gentle cycle in the machine and very likley drape it over a hanger to drip dry. Elastic doesn't last long in dryers

take laundry soap or Woolite and put in the sink, wash cold, rinse cold water and hang dry. As often as you want.

You should not have a leotard at all. Unless this is the '80. Which i hope is not the case. :)

it depends what kind of leotard...maybe you should just throw it in the wash every time you sweat in it...

pretty much every time you wear it. put them in the washer on a gentle cycle then lay them out to dry.

I used to wash mine after I came home from class.......man, those things can get pretty smelly.
