I have looked under properties and general devices and there is no modem listed? Also, under control panel when I click on the modem it says Lucent Win Modem. Is this what I need? When I do update driver it says most recent one.
Any help appreciated!
Really want to change to dial up on this location. I now how DSL but AT&T took over SBC and now my DSL is $58 a month!

You should be able to find DSL cheaper. There are different speeds for DSL and different costs. Try removing your modem and putting it in a different slot. It might just be loose too.

Reinstall your modem software, this was probably removed from when the DSL was added, or not installed correctly.
