I was suspended Tuesday from my job for some b i t c h that lied about me, I told them I wasnt sure I was coming back so I went to my office and grabbed my stuff, good thing I did, they called me today and said dont come back, I told them they were weak to do this over the phone, then I called my old boss (he just left there) and said "I need a job" I am taking a drug test in the next few weeks. I am so glad I left there, they were abusive people. I was there for 5.5 years, hated it the whole time.

Going to Hilton Head Friday to celebrate...Had Mexician and some beers tonight to celebrate also.

Yes twice
It was because I was back stabbed by my own friend and the second time I was late for work and had informed the Bosses secrectary the same she forgot to inform the boss. It was a peculiar situvation either I had to go or if I inform the secretary had to. She was the most hard working lady and the most liked person in the company so I thought it would be better I leave.

I dont regret both is because The job I got after first time was of higher responsiblity than the first and the job satisfation was also there.
Second time too I dont regret is because from Tech Manager in that company to Operations Manager in the new company a leap of three grades it is only dream which happens to some and I always thank God for this.

It is not over the Old secretary is my secretary now & my wife's best friend.

Yes. I was in the middle of a shift when I was accused of lying and proved that I didn't and the manager still thought I lied.
Walked out on the manager and went home and told my wife what happened and she was fine with it.
30 years later I still know I did the right thing.

I interviewed for a manager position, got the job. My first day they start me at minimum wage as a crew member. then, I found out that the store manager did not have health benefits and only got paid a $1.50 over minimum wage. I suggested she find a new job, and told the owner to forget it.

I had 5 years management experience! You better believe I think I did the right thing!

No, I've always given 2 week notice. I was always told not to burn bridges and to always say nice things during exit interviews. In most high tech firms there is a high turnover, so you end up running into people you knew from previous jobs.

I had a former co-worker who hated his boss who was leaving the company. Seeing his chance he told his boss how much he hated him and how glad he was to see him leaving.

Then his boss decided to accept the counter offer and stayed with the company. You can imagine how miserable life at work was for my poor co-worker from that point on.

Of course, I had to stand up for what I thought was important and that is not always in agreement with the boss or the bottom line. If you feel you are being asked to compromise yourself or your beliefs you should never have to 'suck it up' just for a paycheck. "I was looking for a job when I found this one" is better than hating to get out of bed to face it yet another day.

Hell yes. I gave the boss the one-finger salut and walked out. Why? Politics and what not. He was threatened by my job. Was it the right thing...yes. Because he was let go because the rest of the company needed my skills. Worth it...oh ya. : )

Hope this helps
