And by "damaging," I mean, will they weaken the follicle and cause lashes to fall out throughout the day and stuff..

I've used an eyelash curler about 5-6 times a week for about 10 years and I have never noticed any damage to my lashes. I think my eyelashes are in good shape. I don't notice them falling out ever.
Are you having a problem?

I haven't noticed any damage being caused unless I accidentally pull on my lashes when trying to curl them.

if u heat ur ur curler or press hard enough on those fragile lashes then it will cause some damage.just skip it .all u gotta do is comb it then apply some good mascara from dior,estee lauder, hr or loreal. voila!
