How risky is ordering marijuana seeds from the Internet?

Question

I cant find anything worth keeping where I live and want to pick out my strain from online. The problem is, it goes through customs and will be postmarked from the Netherlands. Could customs just seize it, and send me a notice of confiscation like I heard about. Apparently, they dont do anything basically, just let you know they found it and confiscated it and you're not getting it. But if they dont do anything about it, whats the chances of them knocking on the door 3 months later?

I think I'm just paranoid, and realistically theres like a 98 percent chance everything would be fine, but what do you think?

alright man, this is the scoop on ordering seeds...ive done it, had freinds that have done it and plan on doing it again....most companys are smarter than others...they dont ever just send you a bag with seeds in it! a couple times ive had them delivered in cd cases with no cds...just see ds..haha...and on a few occasions they wont make it here but dont sweat it...they dont really care about the seeds...they care about the product...so dont order weed through the mail or anything like that...ha...also i dont recomend buying those expensive a$$ blueberry seeds until you find a company that is smart and reliable

The risks as others have mentioned are there:
It is illegal and one should not do anything illegal.
However, most reports suggest that many seed purchases are reaching their destination without detection. Those that are intercepted result in the purchaser getting a stern letter from customs saying this item is prohibited, so don't order it again.

However, interception is not the only problem. The real problem is the risk of either outright fraud, where you send your good money and receive nothing, or simply poor quality. Basically, you never know until you try, which in case you'd forgotten, is still illegal. Some seed vendors are well known and respected; stick with them. Lesser known companies may be more affordable, but less dependable.

Therefore, your only real problem is that it is still illegal. And, of course, one shouldn't do anything illegal. Namaste.

I love how every negative answer gets a thumbs down. I say do it. What's the worst that could happen? I don't think anyone is going to do anything crazy, otherwise half the country would be locked up. Everyone is over reacting. DOOOOOO ITTTTTT and then let us know how it goes. haha

dude don't be stupid, is it worth the risk of a raid? go buy some mediocre weed with some seeds and grow some and keep the best going and make your own hybrid...its easy

It is very very risky to tell you the truth the goverment knows what you do on the internet they control the internet so it would be a very bad idea

Extremely risky....you never know who's reading things online. it's not always just random bored people. Private detectives have been known to scope out websites to see if anything illegal is going on. So if i were you i would be careful.

Its probably a rip-off , to begin with. If you try to send or recieve dope through the mail, you will be busted. Dope dogs in TX sniffed out shrink-wrapped marijuana in a semi load of rotting cabbage.

Buy American, for heaven's sake.

With things the way they "are" I wouldn't take the chances. There has to be somebody local and/or with a higher rate of a successful buy.

Dude, I like to puff, too. Why are you making things so difficult for yourself? Do what me and everyone else does - find yourself a good connection to call, and let them take all the risk.

It's easy, just order it. That's how I get my drugs like coke and weed and haven't had any problems.
