I am a single mom, so I'm really on a budget. She really likes Vans and 'skinny jeans'. Thanks for your input.

you should just buy some cheap jeans at ross and then sew them up into skinny jeans this way you get a better fit i have friends that do that and it looks great!

check out www.craftster.org for more info on how to reconstruct your own clothes. good luck and i hope this helps!

Well, you could go to target and get the shoes that resemble Vans, but aren't, for around $15. And if a lot of the skinny jeans are too expensive, and you are good with a sewing machine, take them in. I have bought a few pairs of jeans on clearance that fit good at the top and taken them in at the bottom. Shop clearance racks a lot..you can sometimes find some good stuff.

Honey, let her get what she wants. It is a waste to buy kids school clothes that they hate because they won't wear them. A huge waste of money. :)

p.s. You can buy 'lots' of clothes on e-bay for great prices. Check it out. Usually gently worn and worth the money. You don't need a credit card, you can send money order or checks as long as the listing doesn't say Paypal only. Good luck. :)

]Also, I believe stretch jeans are the bomb, especially in small sizes. I wear size 1 to size 3. :)

12?Doesn't she wear a uniform?Anyway, skinny jeans are great if she's not overweight and go for long t-shirts...I think it's quite undecent to show your bellybutton or *** at school,by wearing small tops or t-shirts...even if she is twelve...doesn't she have a favourite band or something?Try getting her Tshirts with that on

Check out zappos.com for the shoes, cheap shoes without shipping costs. For the clothes, try T.J maxx or something like it. Name brands (if that matters) at cheap prices.
