I threw away a lottery ticket because it only matched 5 out of 6 numbers, and it was the first time I had played, and didn't know I had won several hundred dollars.

My fiance's ex-wife, when they were together, threw away the winning Monopoly piece at McDonalds. As in THE winning piece either Boardwalk or Parkplace don't remember. He had been saving them on the board at home and she thought he had that one and threw it out at the restaurant. When she got home and checked, it was not the one he had on the board but the 'other' one. He said she was a blubbering mess and he seriously considered killing her then and there. He won't say it but I think it may have been a contributing factor somewhere in there that they are no longer married. Among other stupid things she's done. I would have been dumpster diving. She didn't go back for it (stupid, again) and he found out too late to try, as in the next day when she finally told him what had happened. Stupid, Sttt-upid.
Another incident of a guy at our high school ('96?) ate a gold M&M that was a winning piece that he didn't realize at the time meant anything. He went to counseling for that; it upset him apparently pretty bad.

confident a hoop. whilst my little ones have been little they have been given into each thing. i might take my rings off at my table each night at the same time as surfing the internet. I had a trash can beside the table. One morning they have been given up in the previous me and it wasn't for extremely long yet I hadn't wide-unfold they had knocked one in each of my rings in the trash. It became into between the final rings I had gotten from my grandfathers shop in the previous he gave up the ghost so it meant lots to me. Later that night I went searching for the ring. could no longer discover it and then remembered the trash after it were picked up.... this is a bad feeling questioning approximately it. Makes me ill.

At least once a day. I've thrown out money, important papers and even jewelry. It usually happens when I'm cleaning.

On her way out the door for work one spring morning my friend called back into the house and told her son, "...and don't forget to take out the trash before you go to school!!", and went on her merry way. Later that evening she was going to sort through her summer clothes...you can see it coming can't you?...and to her great chagrin found that her beloved son had set the bulk of her summer clothes out for the trash man!!
