College is four or five (or so) years of your life when you get to study pretty much anything your heart desires. You may never have a chance to go back to college again, so study subjects that you know you like, and subjects that intrigue you but are as yet unknown to you.

Some people think that college is supposed to prepare you for a job or career. No--that's the mandate of vocational school. College is supposed to prepare you for life--your career, your free time, and many other things.

All the same, college is useful for preparing for a career, and some majors do that more explicitly than others. So while you're taking subjects you love, consider also taking occasional courses that have more of a practical bent. You don't have to major in business or pre-law in order to be a businessman or lawyer. It's what you actually learn that matters. Major in English or Medieval History or whatever.... but consider taking an accounting class or two, or whatever else is connected to possible career goals. A double major is always a good way to make this happen.

So, enjoy college, yet keep an eye on the future.

It's generally thought that business majors have the best opportunities post-college. But the suggestion I would give you and that was given to me, is that you pick a major that interests you, whether it be business, music, or non-profit management, and concern yourself with the post-college prospects later on in your education.

Depends on what you want. Money, something that interests you. Then you decide what interests you and begin to look at the field and the wide range of the market those interests share. The more specific you can be on interests, the better your chances of narrowing down a marketable skill you can develop. Are you a people person, do you like working with your hands. There are people out there to help, guidance counselors, etc., but you must choose the field.

The best major is the major you like. You have to admit it. No matter how interesting the subjects are, if you do not like it, it is a waste of time.
Another way to choose your major to collage is thinking about your future - what you want to do or to be. Then choose the major that will bring you to the point you want.

Choose what you like or Like what you (are going to) choose.
