Imagine you're locked alone in a room for at least a day and possibly longer, with the following:

A kettle of hot water
A bottle of Champagne
A bowl of Jello
A tea bag

What would you do?

Please state whether you're American or European, or whatever.

What a fascinating crowd we all are. I have to admire the Californian who assumes she's going to be locked in the room on the way home from the supermarket.

Rubbing Jello into your hair and painting the walls with it speaks volumes, too.

I can see newspaper headlines from this lot.

This arises from another question I saw, where people said they'd improve a 25 cent Jello by adding a $50 bottle of Champagne. I couldn't believe what I saw there, but It turns out that it's pretty well standard thinking for Yahoo! Q&A contributors. I'll bear that in mind when I ask questions here in future.

Anyway, since some of you want to know what I'd do with these things, first, I'd make tea. Then I'd doubtless drink the Champage, not because I drink much and not because I particularly like Champagne, but because it would make me sleep most of the day.

At some stage I'd doubtless eat the Jello, not because I like the stuff but because hunger would otherwise make the ordeal even more unbearable. And having eaten the Jello, there'd be a convenient empty bowl to satisfy the requirement for 'facilities' that so many people seem to find particularly bothersome.

I'm not sure what that would leave as a thank-you gift for my rescuers, but I'd worry about that when the time comes.

I'd boil the tea, eat the jello, and then drink the Champagne. I'm American. This must be a trick question.

I would eat the jello conservatively on the first night so that I won't have to use the bathroom. The next morning I would use the bowl to make a small cup of tea with the warm water. Another cup of warm water for washing. The next night I would drink the champagne (some of it) to drown my sorrows for not being let out and use the bowl for a potty. The third day I would use a hand full of the cold water from the kettle to bathe. Then go absolutely crazy ... screaming, pounding, kicking, praying and alternating if that order does not work. (^.^)

AMERICAN

Well, until the door was opened, I would make some tea in the kettle of hot water.
When the tea was finished, I would sit around nibbling on the jello and drink some champagne. After finishing the Jello, I would use the bathroom in the bowl, so it could be thrown out later. (getting rid of the tea and champagne from bladder)
I would walk around, pace, hollar, use the cell phone to call someone to get me out of this thing and, oh wait. Dang, I have a cell phone.... BYE

Make my self some tea saving some of the hot water to disolve the jello. Then seeing as I have atleast a day to do nothing, I would either color my hair with it , or decorate the walls by finger painting with the jello.
Since I personally have no use for the champagne, I would save that for my rescuer as a gift of graditude for my release.
I am whatever.

Well I'd drink the Champagne,(I'd be drunk be for I was done with the bottle) so I would play with the jello-letting the way it giggled amuse me for as long as I could stay awake(or till I passed out) and then when I woke up I would use the hot water and tea bag to make me some tea to help with my hangover, and use the used tea bag on my eyes to help with the puffiness that will come from the hangover.

I am American

I'm from the UK. I would make a nice cup of tea as it suggests I cant reheat the water. Thats all I need to survive! Might eat the jello and save the champagne for a rainy day

Let the hot water cool down a bit, so i can wash my sticky fingers
Drink the rest of the champagne
Tea bag? Save it for when I get out, as a souvenir

I would drink the champagne (of course), put the tea-bag on alternate eyes (always wondered why people do this), ignore the jello (don't like it) and use the kettle to wash my hair (I do this every day)
I'm Scottish

What would you do?

I am American from California.

I would use the kettle of water to make tea with the tea bag, green tea.

I would drink the champagne and eat chocolate covered strawberries with it.

I would top the jello with whipped cream and eat it.
