Women are intended to be submissive. This culture has destroyed the natural woman and crushed her true role. Submissive is not a bad word . Men submit to women all the time. Most women prefer to be man handled and told what to do at their core. That is a fact and their is nothing wrong with it. take a survey and you will get your answer. It is the so called advanced b i t c h that has perpetuated the current liberal womans mindset.

It's because they have been forced into bondage for centuries.
It's always been a mans world and America is no exception. Women Have received equal rights in America only though laws enacted after bitter fights in their homes, streets and legislatures in the states and congress. Women in America were not granted votage rights until many years after the black man was.
And than in most states theycould not conduct business on their own, divorce or own property. And this was the best place on earth for women so you can imagine how hard it was elsewhere.
Even slightly modern Britian was burning women alive in the 1700s because it was impolite and unlady like to hang them for crimes they may have committed such as stealing bread for starving children. Times and locations like these make for timid women anywhere.
American women fought hard and long for their freedom and are not ready to lose it.
Asian women or petite as you say was due to starvation, disease, and diet/ abuse.
And Asian and Russian women are beganing to come into their own looking for the same freedoms and respect American have.
Asian women are more family inclined that Americans who have been forced by neccesity to join the work force sence WW2.
But now they are joining the College scene and work force in full.
You lleft out the most abused wopmen of all times the African, and islamic women wo live in a culture which seeks considers them mere property and keeps them that way.

It is the way they are raised as children. The asians are taught to have respect for their husband and can't talk back much. In asian contries it is considered ok for a man to verbally, physically, and emotionally abuse his wife. Adultery is quite normal and expected from Asian men and his wife shouldn't say anything about it.
Generally, in Asia(and that includes India) the husband will make certain the wife does not work. They will have children almost immediately and at that point it is almost impossible for an asian woman to leave her husband. If anything, she fears he will leave her, so she is submissive to ensure her and her childrens future.
Thankfully, in AMerica, women are with men because they want to be, not because they have to be. We have a mind of our own and our opinion is of equal importance to our husbands.

Women in America 50 years ago would have been seen as submissive according to today's American culture.
The Sexual revolution came along and ended that.
As more women go out to work and earn money of there own they are no longer dependent on men to take care of them, they are financially able to live by themselves, so see them selves as mens equals.

Whoa.
Where is he getting that information from? I know many Asian and Russian women who are not submissive. I've known some of both races to be very aggressive.
Haven't you seen the episode of Viva La Bam when his friend gets married to a Russian mail order bride? She did NOT take Don Vito's bashing lying down. She b*tched him out as many Asian women I know do to people.

China has a female vice president, lots of female party leader. Taiwan has a female vice president..I have yet see a female VP in US. Pepsi's new CEO is asian, she is no timid old lady.
While it is true that lot of Asian woman are more docile due to cultural influences. But, most of them only SEEM to be submissive, due to shyness and fear of rejection in a foregin setting. Would you talk as loud if you have to use a foreign language to argue with people, could you chat freely when you barely know half of the words that's been used in a dicussion?
I advise you to take your husband to Hong Kong and go to a traditional market, where he could see woman haggle over veggie prices, or go to Shanghai where man have to carry a woman's purse for her. Woman in Shanghai have their husband cook dinner, take care of the kids and do the shopping for the family!!

First I really hate the questions comparing Foreign women to us American.... Men even till this day don't understand...we don't want to be totally equal to you...just want some respect..we want to work, earn money,be educated and proud. We are strong enough to march and demand what we wanted, and because other countries really don't have laws about beating your wives...they are taught from a young age...men beat women...just be good do as he say...you'll be okay...other countries don't let you divorce...you'll be called many things...and mostly they will think you have an attitude..strong enough to leave someone...not submissive...not easy to control...other countries...stone the wives of the are trying to leave....In all the wars...we were the ones attending to our hurt soldiers, tending children alone, cooking cleaning...how do you think we can be suppressed after all that has happened to us....In the East...a women will be killed for trying to get women's rights...They learn to be quiet... Plus...every young girl that comes here...learn that they don't have to live that way anymore...tides are turning....

To generalize them is harsh to say the least. I lived in Japan, China, and Singapore for many years having dated all sorts of Asian women and just like white women they are individuals-some are hardcore bitches and some aren't. But I do know what you mean. In my opinion I feel it is based on historical factors in their societies as a whole. Just like in the 50s in the US their cultures are a little behind-that's all. Tokyo is a modern place but a few hours outside it is old school Japan, but just the same can be said for NYC and upstate NY.

I disagree strongly with the generalization. You cannot tell by simply observing how people behave in public. You have to live or work with the people to know the real personalities behind the manners.
