I am being a worrywart as I've already been told there is nothing to worry about, but having a history of pregnancy losses I'm freaked out about every little twinge and twang. I had an US today at 11 weeks and the FHR is 183. (he/she was also moving around a bit) She said that was within normal range, but everything I'm pulling up online says 120-160. Just curious to see if any other mothers have/or have had high fetal heart rates and what the outcome was.

My daughters was almost always in the 175's. Be calm if it was something to worry about the doc would have told you. My sisters daughters h/r was 180ish too. She had a healthy 7 and half pound girl.

You're right on that the normal range for FHTs should be between 120 and 160 bpm, but also keep in mind that "accelerations" are acceptable and actually desirable. A FHR acceleration of 15-20 bpm above baseline for up to 15 seconds is absolutely normal and a sign of a healthy baby, especially if the baby was moving around at the time of the vital sign. :) Also, through which method was the value of 183 obtained? It could be an aberration if it was read by one of those hand held Dopplers...those bad boys are notoriously inaccurate at times. You should look at the overall range of FHTs to be sure. I'm sure your baby is just fine!
Best!

My daughter stayed in the 180's my whole pregnancy and was a mover. If she went more than 10 minutes without moving I was worried. You shouldn't worry yourself. I would worry if it was 180 one week and then the next it was 120 and variated a lot.

The only time my daughters FHR flucuated was during labor and she went down to 117 and a nurse asked if this was what it was during my pregnancy and of course I got a little scared. They monitored it closely and everything was fine but it didn't stop me from a scare.

My daughter is very healthy! Loving! A perfect little angel!

yeah but you are only 11 weeks. Normal fetal heart rates are mugh higher earlier on in pregnancy. I'm sure its normal!
