Sing all the time, and make sure your notes are varied. As high as you can go and as low as you can go. Eventually your highs and lows will get higher and lower. Singing all the time helps build up strength in your singing ability and everyone knows, practice makes perfect. But dont push yourself too far, you dont want to hurt your vocal cords, just enhance them.

Thanks Jim :)

You must be joking...You are supposed to use your diaphragm for the strength that you need to sing. It is the muscle below the chest cavity at the bottom of your lungs. "Stretch" vocal chords? that's a quick way to ruin a voice before you even develop it.

Do exercises that involve singing at the edges of your range. Your range can slowly expand...some.

Jess has a great response.
